You can also check out the websites for these organizations, listed below, for even more information. Mission Resources Inventory - 2006 is a comprehensive listing of Mission resources and services. Phone numbers, addresses, program descriptions - it's all there. Federal Employment Programs/Services CARE – Career Assistance and Resources for Employment CARE provides, at no cost to you, innovative, client–focused career solutions and job search tools to guide you back to employment. With onsite and online workshops, self-help resources, and career / employment counselling the CARE Team offers leading–edge, high quality employment services to all unemployed Canadians. Compass - Setting Career Direction Program, offered through MCC BC Employment Centre, assists individuals in setting a career direction, developing a plan, and targets youth and adult learners in the Abbotsford or Mission area. MYERT'S Youth Employment Resource Centre (YERC) provides specialized employment assistance services for youth clients between 15-30 years of age who are unemployed and legally entitled to work in Canada and live in Abbotsford and Mission. Success @ Work is a high impact work maintenance program designed to assist unemployed or under-employed (under 20 hours per week) individuals understand and cope with the changing workplace and enhance their employability prospects. Mission R.I.T.E. Program - Reaching Independence Through Employment - assists men in the Mission area who have experienced many barriers to finding and keeping employment. Men will have the opportunity to define employment goals that fit with the local labour market in their area of interests and expertise while developing and enhancing personal management skills. Mission W.R.I.T.E. Program - Women Reaching Independence Through Employment - assists women in the Mission area who have experienced many barriers to finding and keeping employment. Women will have the opportunity to define employment goals that fit with the local labour market in their area of interests and expertise while enhancing and developing personal management skills. Provincial & Community Employment Programs/Services Buxton Consulting (Job Wave Contractor) is a private company that specializes in providing career planning; vocational and rehabilitation assessments; employment marketing and placement; occupational and lifestyle counselling; as well as conducting training seminars and workshops for corporate and public sector organizations. Triumph Vocational Services is a voluntary employment program for persons with disabilities who are interested in expanding their life and work skills and finding a job. Training and Learning Wage Subsidy Program - Bowman Employment Services coordinates a wage subsidy program that is designed to help unemployed persons gain work experience. Through this program, an employer receives assistance with wage costs while an employee benefits from current work experience. |
