Self Employment and Entrepreneur Development Society (SEEDS) provides a support program to assist clients as they begin and grow their businesses. The components of the program are broken into three phases: Pre-Entrepreneur Phase-I, Entrepreneur Phase-II and Business Start-up Phase-III. The ACHIEVE Self-Employment program is aimed at individuals wanting to start their own businesses. It consists of services and supports designed to help entrepreneurial individuals assess their skills and abilities, and their business objectives and goals while providing constant support to help them achieve greater independence through self-employment. Once you are in a work environment, your counsellor will continue to support you, if required, to maximize your success. The ACHIEVE program services are provided to People with Disabilities in the communities of; Abbotsford, Chilliwack , Hope, Mission and Agassiz . The Douglas College Self Employment Program offers practical training, business advice and group support to help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to start and operate a successful business. Income support is also available to those who qualify. Community Futures Development Corporation of North Fraser, located in Mission, BC services the area north of the Fraser River from Mission to Harrison and has been in operation since 1986. Activities of the organization are streamlined into two areas: Community Economic Development and Business Development. WorkSafe BC - Small Business Info Canada Business - Government Services for Entrepreneurs To ensure equal opportunities for all Canadians, the CSSD, using internet based technologies, provides entrepreneurial training and enhances employability for persons experiencing barriers to employment. The Art of Managing Your Career - Cultural Careers is a five-chapter guide to Artists and self-employed cultural worker to help them manage the business side of their creative endeavours.
